You can run a print club from your kitchen table. The model: people pay you a small amount monthly, or quarterly, and you post them a print. That’s the whole thing. CNBC covered this in April. Trinity Shiroma paints a landmark on a 4x6 piece of paper, has copies run off at her local print shop, writes a letter, and posts it to 2,700 subscribers. Kiki Klassen in Ontario does around 900 a month from her dining table. Both making thousands. Notice what neither is doing. Neither owns a printer. Neither is waiting on a gallery. And neither is guessing how many to print, because they already know how many people paid. That last one is the entire advantage. Selling prints normally means printing 50 and hoping. A club means you print the number you’ve already been paid for. No stock, no waste, no guessing. If your work is digital this is the best version of it there is, because you already have the file. You’re one email to a local printer away from an object somebody can own. Three decisions and you’re running: Cadence. Quarterly is far kinder than monthly. Size. A postcard or A5 keeps postage sane. Price. Then take the money on Gumroad, Substack or Shopify. One honest thing. International postage will eat you alive. Plenty of artists start with one country and open up later. That’s sensible, not a failure. 100 subscribers at 10 a month is 1,000 a month, before you’ve sold a single original. Send this to an artist with an audience and no income. #SellYourArt #ArtistIncome #ArtBusiness #DigitalArt #CreativeFlair
