Please its not true.I make my own konkonte flour at home .I dry it in the sun .It turns out white please.The black is actual caused by mold if its not properly dried 😏

it is not 100% true. But rather people are adding corn powder to it. People may be adding alum though. But people handle kokontey in a more hygienic way compared to those days. people are using dryers to try it. But first they dry it in the sun and it is beating by rain and develops mould that make it black. So she should speak well .

Not all of them is alum. We prepare our own konkonte at home and it looks white. After peeling the cassava, we wash it well and then soak it in an ordinary water till the next morning then we wash it again and then spread it under the sun and it will look like chalk. Give it a try and see it for yourself. We don’t buy it from outside

no is a lie ,dry your cassava when the sun is hot and packed it when the sun goes down be repeating it like that until is dried very well and trust me you will have your konkonte very white... don't leave it outside for the dew or rain to fall on it or else it will be black
