Mind you, some see breastfeeding as an easier option than washing bottles.

Plus we come from countries where it is not shamed or demonised and encouraged as it should be. When my son was a baby the second he would cry in back in Jamaica people were literally yelling at me to give him breast 😂 like give me a second to get it out guys

Every black midwife I encountered seriously helped me breastfeed. The first time I breastfed, the midwife was black and it was the best latch, the best experience ever. I’ve never really thought about their skin colour before until watching this video, it’s made me reflect, but it was a white midwife who told me to just go onto formula and ended my breastfeeding journey. I had a very traumatic birth (lost 2.6ltrs, nearly died) and had PPD/PTSD, and those women really really cared. I’ll always be thankful for those women, because they actually wanted to help me. They helped to create some of the best memories during a really hard time.

That’s an interesting perspective. Those that can breastfeed have high endurance levels. You might be onto something there.

I’ve never understood the breastfeeding is hard argument personally. What is hard about never having to be prepared? To breastfeed is to be everything you baby needs just through your existence.

Raised in London, doing natural things is soooo "weird" when you're round the unspicy people!! I get so much support and well done from other cultures, close together kids is praised, wanting to know my body is cool! My people? naaaa formula, get some sleep, drop the kids off somewhere at 2 years old 😳
