I was walking by a baseball game to go to my game when a parent came out of the stands and smashed the umpire in the head and almost broke the man's neck. No one on his side of the diamond even went to help the umpire, one of my teammates dad was a doctor and just happened to be at that game,and he helped to stabilize the man's neck with a towel, luckily the man only had a concussion,the man who attacked the umpire was sentenced to six months in the Oklahoma City jail. My dad never yelled at anyone on my team and said if he saw someone try to attack an umpire he'd try everything he could to get the guy arrested.

I used to umpire little league baseball. I loved it actually and I DID IT FOR FREE. But parents made it damn near impossible to enjoy doing it. So I quit. It wasn’t something I wanted to keep putting up with when I wasn’t getting paid for it.

These organizations need to start a list of parents that get a 1 month ban from all events. Hold the parents accountable and we will see less of this.

Coach needs to get on top of that immediately. I’ve coached for 15 years wreck Ball and a parent acted like that you shut that crap down.

the coach needed to step up and send that parent packing. we were told by the director of our soccer club that if a parent acts like this more than once the entire family will be rwmoved from the club
