so many people don’t realize you can get a UTI from almost anything. using scented products down there, drinking caffeine, clothes rubbing, riding a bike. having a UTI doesn’t mean you’re dirty or did anything wrong

Everyone is acting like this is a stupid post but I had chronic uti’s as a child and I couldn’t get them treated properly because every time my mom took me to the dr and I got prescribed an antibiotic my dad would accuse me of having an STI and being active when I wasn’t… I just didn’t drink enough water and didn’t use the restroom as regularly as I needed to

When ever iv had a UTI, someone always has to bring up that it’s cus I’m sexually active or unclean. Im not either of those things. Or they straight up call me gross. Then I educate them on what a UTI is. Mind you these people are 40s-60s

i’ve only had like 3 utis. i’ve had one for no reason before and two after i lost my v card. losing my v card gave me a uti, then it came back and i got another one (it was because my body wasn’t used to the new bacteria. it wasn’t from him being unhygienic)

Mine lasted four years and after 18 doctors in three states said I had anxiety, I self referred to Mayo Clinic for an endometriosis evaluation and was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis, had surgery and it cured my UTI’s.

Do ppl really not know this..? Woman are more prone to them but it literally just means your bladder, urinary track, and/or kidneys need washed out so drink a lot of water and see a physician if it persists so they can give you antibiotics to fight the infection. It’s like a cavity or an infected cut.

I actually got my first one two years ago from bikini bottoms + ocean .. traumatized since bc I swear that back pain is worse than pregnancy back pain
