When they had to move into a rental that wouldn’t allow him, they entrusted his care to a friend while they desperately searched for housing where they could bring him home again. Instead, Hank was found abandoned. He recently arrived back at our overcrowded shelter alongside another dog. The owner of the other dog has been unreachable, and Hank’s family is absolutely devastated. Through no fault of their own, or his, the choices of someone else have landed him back behind kennel bars. Hank is everything good. He’s absolutely stunning, incredibly sweet, well-mannered, and the kind of dog who leaves a mark on your heart. He has already proven he can be a beloved family member. He deserves that chance again. Hank can’t help that he was born a breed so often overlooked. He can’t change the labels people place on him.
