Where are all the shophouse owners and their families after ura evicted and relocated them away.... sigh.... only a few have the money back then to buy over the houses and don't need to go away. Now all rich beyond measure already. Last time there was matchmaking and arranged marriages. A matchmaker arranges for a lady to tie the knot with a neighbouring boy and the father in law passes two shophouses to the son. Both father and son later left this world leaving everything to the woman and their children were educated enough to work in MNCs and government jobs and don't even need the value of these houses at all. All in one generation time. 祖坟冒青烟啊。
