I remember getting home from school, grabbing one of these cheap little fishing sets and heading straight down to a tiny pond near a building site. Few little roach, perch, maybe nothing at all — didn’t matter. Half the fun was trying to get the thing to cast properly without the line exploding off the spool 😂 Seeing one again brought back a ridiculous amount of memories.
