Things like this are getting way too common, so many young blacks feel it necessary to be violent rather than being reasonable. For him to use the N word shows immediately that this was fueled by racism. He needs to be seriously penalized with assault charges, especially since it was an elderly man.

Black or white, violence, is violence. if you limit it to race,then white people would be world leaders and nigger is used very commonly now amongst black people. used in context in confrontations. it has nothing to do with racism unles is coming from a white person toward a black person with hateful negative connotations.
