the viewpoint you’re making does make sense from both ends: the person being cut off because of one mishap, and the person who chose to do the cutting off. but at the same time, don’t you think someone can still give grace while choosing to cut another person off? you can forgive someone for their mistake without necessarily standing for or accepting the behaviour. almost like saying, “i understand why you did what you did, and i accept your apology, but i still have to protect myself in whatever way i feel is necessary.” so if the person has genuinely forgiven them and understood their reasoning, then the act of cutting them off isn’t necessarily inherently wrong, is it & grace is still in place, no? i don’t know if i’m making sense.

@miles 🇿🇦: I think the problem is that we’re broken. In a way that our reaction to such situationships is the consistency of dissapointments we’ve come across , so now everytime we see a similar pattern starting to show we tap out immediately to avoid the impact we’ve endured from past traumas. And it’s very difficult to give each and every person that comes into your life a chance when you are tired. 🤷🏿❤️
