As a service writer, I’m walking out and verifying with the customer. There is absolutely no reason a ticket should have been made for this. Show the customer, make them feel a little stupid but also happy you saved them money, see them next time.

Also, sometimes it’s a good idea for owners to maybe Google their issues before bringing it into the dealer because of stuff like this that can be resolved at home.

I actually almost took my car into the dealer because I've never owned anything newer than a 2016 until now and took me months to realize my gas cop locks when my car is locked and I was freaking out to why I couldn't get gas 😂😭 my car is a 2023

We LIVE in a WORLD. NOT Everybody Thinks or KNOWS everything. Some people NEVER had Guidance or had to do Certain Things. So WHY would they KNOW HOW TO DO SOMETHING, they have NEVER done before.🙄🙄
