My newborn feeds for 5 minutes, lets go and falls asleep and then wants to feed again and on and on it goes and also at some point gets fussy. But I see the milk and when I pump there’s milk so I can’t figure out what’s going on?

Hi :
I don’t know what’s going on with my baby. Every time I put him to the breast, he starts sucking and I can hear him swallowing, but then after 1–2 minutes, he lets go and starts crying. I try to comfort him and latch him again, but the same thing keeps happening, even on the other breast! Please, what could this mean? 😢

The default is always yes you’re hungry. And then if you’re wrong, that’s fine. Always offer the opportunity to eat, or just self soothe with suckling at the breast. The best way to establish an amazing supply as well as a great bond with your child.🥰🥰🥰

i always assume hunger and then on fussier days i end up with a baby attached to me constantly. but if it keeps him more content and comfortable that’s okay, im happy to be able to soothe him and remind myself that tomorrow could look different

Any suggestions for hiccups and what could be gas in the middle of the night? She’s only 9 days old but having “witching” hours around 2-4am. Not sure if I’m allowing for air to get in and if there’s something I can do to improve it. I’ve noticed on my right nip she’s biting/sliding down to nip even when I latch her deep.

What can be helpful for dads when mom is away and they can’t tell if baby is hungry or cranky? Do they constantly make bottles or is that a risk of constant over feeding?
