@robert_jenrick: Shoplifting has basically been decriminalised. This was the scene in Sainsbury’s in Blackfriars, London. What is the point in security if they can’t detain him? And what is the point in calling the police if they don’t come and the shoplifter isn’t sent to jail? We are in deep trouble in a country. Reform will get us out.  A much bigger prison estate, including rented in countries like El Salvador. A police force judged not on DEI metrics but on detecting crime and arresting criminals. Much tougher sentencing. Enough is enough.
