@beachbomberfishing: Took an overnight trip to attempt at surf fishing for some bull reds. During the day, the bite was super slow, only thing that was biting were whiting and small sharks. We got one of the fresh whiting we caught a drum used it for bait. Since the tide was way out, we had to hop on the sandbar and cast outbehind the next one, probably like 50 yards from where i was standing. Walked back to shore some distance to wait. I love night surf fishing. I'm crazy though, walking out to the second sandbar in the middle of the night on Matagorda island with no one in sight and no cell service.
