Sura ♡ :
Her actual story makes more sense, and this bridal shop is 💯 wrong. The full story is: “I ordered the dress in January of this year. Dress came in, first fitting was July 1st. First try on after alterations was Aug. 8th. The waist design was wadded up at my ribs, the back looked like a snake, buttons crooked, zipper pinched & poking out. The owners wife then proceeds to CUT the lace off my hips with scissors, I said what are you doing l? Are you the seamstress? she said no I’m just opening it up… I said STOP! You just cut the lace off my dress, she says she can patch the missing lace with the hem (I only needed .5in hemmed). She said it was done badly bc the seamstress that was supposed to alter my dress wasn’t the one who did it, someone else did. Someone who didn’t know what they were doing, who didn’t have the notes from my first fitting & decided to do it anyways. They apologized, said they’d have it fixed by the next day, Aug. 9th. As much as I wanted it done I told them I didn’t want her to feel rushed where she’d potentially make more mistakes, so I gave them a week. I went back Aug. 15th. The dress was worse, despite me giving them extra time to get it done correctly. The hem hadn’t been done, the zipper was not sewn on the back of the dress (she had to stitch me in it), the back where the zipper was looked like a snake & half the buttons were missing, & the entire hip design front, sides & back were sewn together as one piece! It was no longer the dress I picked & fell in love with. I asked her for the floor model, I told her I’d rather take the damaged, snagged floor model at that point than my Frankenstein dress. She, knowing how far gone the dress was, offered to order me a new dress. I was very thankful & expressed that to her. But decided that when the new dress came in that it was too close to my wedding to gamble letting them attempt it a 3rd time. At that point I was 2 weeks away from my wedding, no more time for mistakes. The dress that they posted is the botched dress, but it’s a huge improvement from what it looked like when I saw it last. They had their seamstress, alter it to make it look as good as possible before they made that post.”
