Here's what nobody tells you: you are not getting Claude for free. You're keeping the harness. Your commands, your context, the way it reads your repo. But a different, weaker model answers underneath. On easy jobs you won't notice. On hard ones you will. And everything you type routes through it to providers you've never heard of. It even has a logged security flaw (CVE-2026-49352). So don't point it at sensitive data or run it on your work laptop. Clever tool. I use it. But "unlimited free Claude" isn't what it is.
