ive been welding for a year and a half. i want to ask. what makes galvanized metal so bad? i just keep getting told "do it right before they send it back galvanized. and you don't want that" but WHY. WHY DON'T I WANT THAT

Stainless ain’t as bad as long as you clean it, galvanized is penetrated into the metal and it’s horrible (either way where your ppe) 🤣

stainless stick is awsome runs so nice. only bad part is when it shoots pices of flux at you shit just pops right off. anyone wanting to weld galvanized stuff just sucks at stick probably 😂

Stick welding stainless is nice though. You just gotta know what you're doing, it's largely the same as running any other drag rod like 7018, 6013, etc.

well mig welding galvanisé is not easy because you need to burn the galvanised laier with mig you need to move slow that it burn the galvanised before you fill and with stick welding stailess its hard because you have différents types of stainless matériel and thikness is a major game tchanger i can do both😅
