There are exceptions. Hydraulic line blew on Wife's convertible. OE part was $1800. Semi-flexible plastic tubing. A local hydraulic shop's custom made a replacement. $860 installed.

consider an exception for nissan rogue 2018 and similar. common issue is they strip out the nylon sleeve of the blend door. I got an aftermarket one that had a longer shaft.

I hope everybody stays away from cheap Amazon parts because most of them are fake China knock offs and they don’t work

I found with most Chrysler parts, you need OE mopar parts. No after market parts will last in any Chrysler made vehicle. Ran into a clock spring issue on a jeep wrangler, and had to have an OE. I’ve tried running doorman parts and they just don’t work right.

I thought you were going to say it had a broken door which is common on rams. I’ve replaced many with aluminum door kits from blend door USA.

Anything that super complicated to get to definitely get oem, less having to worry if the aftermarket part goes bad and having to go back in to replace again 😭
