One of the reasons why I love and fully trust your commentary is because it’s balanced and conscious. Lewis is absolutely looking at how it makes him look as the only black driver in the sport. But everyone, even his haters acknowledged that he had nothing to apologize for. Ferrari was a MESS

Despite Leclerc needing to improve on his awareness, needing to not be too selfish and not make boneheaded decision.. I think it more the Ferrari strategist faults than anything else. This team is just known for collateral damage. Ferrari's lack of decision-making and the fear of prioritising one driver over the other is the main reason they both end up unable to extract 100% from situations. They made Lewis feel like a Guinea Pig and ruined Leclerc strategy.

I hate that he never can be unapologetic in this sport! But this comes with the weight of being the only black person in f1. He’s also aware that being seen as difficult hurts not his image but the door openings for black people in motorsports/poc as the athletes and team members! ( Do people even notice the only black people or biracial people we see on our f1 screen come from that Ferrari garage and on Lewis’s side??)

Bless him, but I would never have apologized. I totally get why he did though. He doesn’t want to be saddled with a stereotype. But he was not wrong with anything he said. Ferrari is so frustrating.
