In 1972, Nine woke up with no memories of who he was or where he came from. At first, he tried to live like an ordinary person. A police officer believed his story and helped him find a job, a home, and a place in society. She genuinely believed he was just a lost man who deserved a second chance. As Nine's hatred for humanity grew, he eventually attacked her, leaving her permanently paralyzed and became her legal guardian. He made sure she depended on him for everything, and that she would have to look at his face every single day. (Just some lore for interested people lmao)
