I am a right leaning independent in most of my political views. This is the primary reason why I can’t get on board with the conservatives completely. I do not believe most abortions are for “convenience”. Unless the fathers and/or the government at large are willing to actively take responsibility for these children they have no right to weigh in on this topic. I know these children can be adopted, but let’s be honest. Are they being adopted or just thrown in a system that isn’t looking out for them?

This has been my whole point. The aspect of abortion being “bad”, ignores all the problems in pregnancy, problems with financial ability, and problems with an actual safe environment.

Historically, abortion and birth control bans are for more poor “white” babies for the adoption pipeline, menial labor and cannon fodder. The wealthy will always have access to healthcare. What happens for minority populations is eugenics, forced sterilization, incarceration and institutionalization. Look it up: the Mississippi Appendectomy. Eugenics boards in California and NC (motto: “breed out the Black”) - both of which paid reparations to their victims. NC was sterilizing minority foster children as young as 7/8 as late as the early 1990’s.
