Hi A Liberian here. In diplomacy, weaker Countries has less Cards on the negotiation table. Honestly, we Liberians didn't want them but we had almost no option. The US has been our biggest trading partner for decades even before China who just came into the picture. We have a mineral deal and subsidie health deals with the US. Saying no to them right now, could come with consequences.

Someone said Liberia has BA who somehow found themselves in Liberia. Even their flag almost like US. And remember how BA don’t like African immigrants in US, maybe they are helping the government they feel part of deport those they don’t like

Liberia was colonised by American returnees. Not a bad idea.... just another wave who bring different perspectives. They shouldn't bring criminals though.
