@comedinewithkerrie: Is The Ivy in Nottingham worth the hype? 👀 The Ivy in Notts seems to get a real mixed bag of reviews, but we’ve always had really good experiences. The food is consistently good, the staff have been lovely, and we absolutely love the decor & overall vibe of the restaurant.  You also can’t grumble at their set menus. We tried the Sensational Saturday menu this time. It was £50 for three courses, included a side, plus a glass of The Ivy Champagne. The menu is slightly limited and they’d run out of the fish dish, making the choice even smaller. But, for what you get, I think it’s a pretty cracking deal and we had a really nice evening. What we ordered: 🧀 2 x Halloumi with fire-roasted pepper purée and vine tomatoes 🥩 Robata-flamed 21-day-aged steak (£6.95 supplement) 🍗 Chicken schnitzel, capers, fried egg & red wine sauce 🍟 Triple-cooked chips 🍚 Rice with toasted coconut & coriander 🍨 Rhubarb & raspberry knickerbocker glory 🔥 Flaming crispy apple tart (£2.95 supplement) The food was presented like artwork and I especially enjoyed the flambéing of my apple tart.
