I went into your store for the first time this summer on a dreary day, about 15 minutes before you were going to close. Bradley was there and could not have been more kind and open! My husband and I loved everything in your store and Bradley even invited us to see your back patio/garden area. I am now obsessed with all things Widener Co and will be back! As a born and bred Mainer I love supporting small local shops like yours, keep giving this world ALL the beauty!!

In 1980, when I was a summer intern in Washington D.C. a very wealthy alum of my university invited all the summer interns from my school to dinner at his house in Georgetown. The home was gorgeous-filled with art and antiques. Our host started talking about a recent trip to China and his wife jumped up and found a pair of scissors she had bought on the trip. The handles were shaped like a crane. She told us the scissors weren’t valuable, but they obviously brought her great joy. I thought it was so cool that she found so much joy in a cheap pair of scissors in a house filled with priceless art and antiques. That woman taught me to find joy in small things.
