Lindsay brought religion into her case by saying, “Go to God, baby,” & repeated it to every single expert she talked to…. So yeah, just lock her up & let’s move on.

Appreciate the content. Just want to clarify that it’s a “mortal” sin which means something very specific in Catholicism and not just about morals.

*Personal Opinion*: I don't believe Big Redd wants to do this all over again. I believe asking for a mistrial was to get it on the record, more than it was to ask to be granted. We all know there is MUCH Lindsay couldn't possibly sit through hearing all over again🥺

Only evidence is what PATRICKs SAID no evidence points to Lindsay. Such a shitty investigation that Patrick will never face trial.

reddington knew the judge wouldn't grant it. but good to have on the record he requested it due to the prosecutions negligence

If prosecutors knew what mentioning religion would do, why would they do it? Serious question. What are your thoughts? Just planting a seed, hoping jurors are Catholic or religious?

Do you think the prosecution did that on purpose as a set up for their own mistrial? with hopes the would call for it? because now they know everything that was used against them and can use that to their benefit if they redo the trial.

The phrase in question was “mortal sin”, not moral. The prosecution was trying to tie in the “Go to God” statement and her going to heaven with the fact that suicide is a mortal sin that makes you ineligible for heaven.

It's more procedural for the sake of any appeals process isn't it?

When i was a Paralegal the defense would ask for a mistrial fairly often. Isn't this fairly common? Or were the cases I was on uncommon?

So one of the defense witnesses have brought up praying with Lindsey and telling her “the children are safe because the are with god” why is this allowed? It only seems with the prosecutions witnesses bring it up it’s grounds for mistrial.

I think all the stuff paired with the prosecutors desire to know the name of the Father who was visiting her in jail. Saying if she said certain things to him they should be allowed to ask. But that made no sense. Her lawyer even said his name is right here on the list you can get it any time. Then the two witnesses being asked about the Catholic religion, as a Catholic it makes me wonder what the purpose of it is. Why are you constantly bringing up religion when Lindsey’s lawyer said she isn’t a devout Catholic. Of course I’m not on the jury. So they don’t know about the request for the Fathers name. But all three incidents together raise questions in myself about why the prosecution is constantly going down this road.

By asking for a mistrial would that help defense if they wanted to appeal?

the judge disregarding what he was about to say is absolutely ridiculous he was about to bring up how at the time Lc knew it was morally wrong to kill her kids therefore proving criminal responsibility

Is anyone else a bit disappointed with how Kevin reddington is handling the case. I don’t want to be a downer but he keeps saying “when she k the kids” and he doesn’t even use “allegedly”. The jury definitely picks up on this and he’s basically insinuating that she DID it beyond doubt . He’s not even trying to create doubt that she did it , everything he’s trying to do now is just pointing towards her being in psychosis and honestly ….. it’s not looking good . I know there’s been a lot of good witnesses on the defences side but I can’t say fully that I believe she was psychotic . I’m completely on Lindsay’s side but I’m honestly losing hope ….. the chances of her actually getting acquitted now is down to zero because of Kevin reddington

Can you PLEASE explain this from an attorneys perspective…the defense calls the Chaplain as a witness…chaplains are religious figures in someone’s life…some say she was a character witness and to testify to things Clancy told her.. but she is not a character expert but things Clancy talked to her about religious things that were talked about in the chaplains testimony, but it’s wrong for the Dr from yesterday and today brings that up as per his actual conversations with Clancy is wrong and defense calls for a mistrial? How is the chaplain not opening the door for things like that in open discussion between dr and defendant?
