The level of pain meds in a few of my surgeries, it would be true that I can't make major decisions. I can't speak for her situation, but my neck fusions surgery was lower pain meds and I was fine to make decisions. Just because she can talk doesn't mean she's not foggy. She deserves the benefit of the doubt. This is not a financial or contract, but a week or two wouldn't change much and she'd be better.
