Took my son watching The Goonies at Backyard Cinema in Manchester a couple of years ago and he loved it. It's the perfect kids film! Romancing the Stone deserves to be spoken about more when it comes to 80s adventure films

I spent years of my life thinking I was going mad convinced that there was a big red octopus in this film. I watched it every time it was on telly and rented it so many times to find this red octopus that I’m convinced I saw. I even got teased in school over it because no one else ever saw this octopus. I finally accepted there was never an octopus in this film when I was about 14. About 2 years ago I hear about this deleted scene with the octopus, and when I watched it, it was exactly how I remembered it. My heads been absolutely chocka ever since as I genuinely thought I’d imagined it.
