While some might take it for granted, have you ever wondered how a few thousand British managed to rule the vast, undivided India? The answer lies in the administrative and legal systems they created—systems that, unfortunately, persist in Pakistan today. This video explores the colonial-era laws still used to govern Pakistan, including: Section 144: Implemented by the British to quash protests, it's still used to prevent peaceful assembly. 3 MPO: The modern version of the infamous Rowlatt Act, which allows for detention without trial, summarized as "no lawyer, no appeal, no argument." Section 124-A (Sedition): This tool of oppression was used to control the public until it was declared unconstitutional in 2023. In truly free nations, laws exist to protect and facilitate the public. In nations that are not free, laws are used to suppress the people and empower the rulers. It's time to ask ourselves: is simply being able to eat a full meal the true meaning of freedom?
