@tiffofili: My husband is truly a modern-day Renaissance man, and today he gets his FLOWERS. Picture day came around, and I wasn’t available to do our girl’s hair like I normally would. And if you know, you KNOW—Black girl hair is a whole thing, and I’m particular about how my babies show up, especially when it’s picture day. So Daddy said, “She’s not gonna be looking rough on my watch.” He FaceTimed me, followed my directions step-by-step, took her hair down, and did it himself. And when I tell you that baby came out looking POLISHED?! Whew! He was proud of himself. She was proud. I was proud. WIN. This man continues to show me that there is truly no limit to what a present, hands-on dad will do for his family. So today, I’m celebrating him. Because when somebody is showing up, loving hard, and doing a great job—give them their flowers while they can smell them. Drop some flowers for the good ones in your life!
