Early on, the tartar just looked like yellow teeth and bad breath — I didn't take it seriously and never stuck with dental cleaning care. The bacteria traveled through the bloodstream and damaged his kidneys; by the time it was discovered, it was already too late. At first he just didn't want to eat, drank more water, and had no energy. I only thought it was the hot, dry weather — I never connected it to a major kidney problem, nor did I do oral care in time to protect his kidneys. The first pet hospital already advised euthanasia.
