so that's not what a liberal is liberalism is a right-wing economic theory, nothing to do with being pro-immigration even so, it's first year basic sociology that sexual safety statistics are only increasing as a result of greater awareness, access, confidence in the justice system alongside better reporting/recording techniques and police training. right now, statistics show higher assault against women than back in the victorian era, where sexual assault was in fact significantly higher then. it's easy for people to look at a rising statistic and blame a group they're not in, but picking the easiest pathway shouldn't be how politics works, at least in my opinion
