it’s rare to see dq fans that are also genuinely interested in cervantes and his work, there’s nothing new said about both the former and latter other than ‘silly goober’ or ‘windmills’. don quixote is a brilliant metaphor for how much someone’s view in life can change with just a simplification of it (quixotism) and how easily someone is influenced. cervantes also really pondered about the idea while he was in jail and that takes a lot of experience in life to assess and understand it
