Okay, the “starving orphan” trend has officially become one of my favorite trends because the EDITING is absolutely diabolical. 😂😭 If you haven’t done this yet, DO IT — but you have to set it up correctly. First, grab your husband, boyfriend, friends, family, coworkers… whoever you can catch completely unsuspecting. Ask them a serious hypothetical question like: “What would you do if a dangerous person suddenly burst through that door with the intention of hurting everyone in this room?” Then just let them answer. And people apparently have VERY strong survival instincts. 😂 You’re going to hear answers about tackling somebody, slamming doors, throwing things, running, fighting, calling the police, protecting the kids, grabbing whatever is nearby… basically every chaotic response imaginable. Film all of it. NOW comes the evil genius part. Afterward, film yourself asking an entirely different question: “What would you do if a starving orphan showed up at your door asking for food and help?” Put THAT clip at the very beginning of your TikTok. Then immediately cut to everyone’s completely out-of-context answers from the dangerous-intruder question. So suddenly your sweet family members appear to be saying things like: “I’d tackle them.” “I’m locking the door.” “I’d hit them with whatever I could find.” “I’m definitely not letting them inside.” “I’m calling the cops.” ABOUT A STARVING ORPHAN. 😭😭😭 Obviously they NEVER actually answered that question. That’s the entire joke. You’re basically framing everyone you love through creative editing and then watching the comment section question their humanity. 😂 But here’s where ours got even better. JON. I have watched several people do this trend now, and somehow this man managed to give the ONE answer I’ve heard that basically survives the edit. Everybody else sounds like they’re preparing to fight a Victorian street child asking for a bowl of soup. Meanwhile Jon somehow comes through with an answer that still makes enough sense in BOTH scenarios that the joke almost doesn’t work on him. 😂 Of course he would. This man has apparently been preparing his entire life for one very specific scenario: “Dangerous intruder or starving orphan?” Jon: “Close the door.” 🚪 🙄😭🤣 pulling from the depths of game of thrones knowledge there…. 😂😂😂 That is what makes this trend so funny to me. You learn very quickly who goes straight into fight mode, who freezes, who immediately starts protecting everybody else, who has absolutely NO plan whatsoever… …and then occasionally you get somebody like Jon who gives an answer so unexpectedly reasonable that even deceptive editing can’t completely ruin his reputation. So now I need everybody else to try this. Ask at least 3–5 people the dangerous-intruder question FIRST. Do NOT tell them why. Do NOT mention the orphan. Let them answer naturally. THEN record yourself asking the starving-orphan question separately and edit that question in front of their answers. And please tag me because I desperately need to know if anybody else has a person who accidentally beats the trend the way Jon did. 😂 Because so far, I’ve heard some absolutely HORRIFIC things apparently being done to these fictional starving orphans… …and Jon might be the only person making it out of this trend with his reputation intact. 💀😂 #StarvingOrphanTrend #CouplesTikTok #RelationshipHumor #FunnyCouples #TikTokTrend
