This weekend brought up a lot of emotions for me. My mom’s name was the last called at the church where she served faithfully and built for over 50 years with my stepdad as pastors. It reopened grief, sadness, and even family arguments. In my culture, wearing black for a year is how we honor mourning — and I carry that every day along with the pain of losing her earlier this year. But through it all, I’ve stayed on my carnivore journey and really started it on a whim not thinking it would work for me but I was wrong…. It really changed me in so many levels I can even put in words at the moment from the tears. This way of eating has helped me heal inflammation, manage pain, and keep moving forward even when the emotions feel so heavy. And this channel — this carnivore community — has been such a light for me.
