@missy23232: Career and interview tips from a talent executive who spent 20+ years on the other side of the table. Pay attention to how they talk about the person who left the role and whether they keep rescheduling, because those small signals reveal a lot about company culture. After 20+ years making talent and people decisions at the executive level, I've seen the same mistakes cost great candidates great opportunities. These videos exist so you don't have to learn the hard way. #careertips #careeradvice #professionaldevelopment #workplacetips #jobsearchtips
AS SOON as I signed my offer letter they were talking bad about the previous girl. My heart dropped.

We need a public website for reviewing upper to middle to low managers. For the greater good, suspend libel lawsuits for this website.

If there is no empathy or understanding in an interview as it relates to making you comfortable as you may appear very nervous. Run I tell you I’ve been on that panel. It’s not a company you want to work for. Those panels think they are superior and above it all and mock you as soon as you log off and or leave the room. Being in interview seats after leaving that company I look out for this .

I declined an offer from a place that is a family owned medical practice. All white staff. Absolutely not. Been there. Done that. Accountability doesn’t exist in family run businesses.

Company culture is so IMPORTANT to me. Just left a job because of the culture.

What if just the recruiter is the one who keeps rescheduling? Today I had an interview with a HM and the recruiter rescheduled it last minute I responded to the email and asked them to do it today & the HM resent the invite for the same time today. But the recruiter rescheduled on me 3 times for the first interview.

A free red flag. If the interviewer talk about themselves and you didn’t ask them the question.

Mine was horrible. It was a panel interview with three ladies, and they were all talking over each other. One lady actually said she wished she was at home with her grandbabies, and another lady rolled her eyes at her because she kept talking over both of them. It was such a mess and honestly very unprofessional.

We really need to pay attention to number 1. I regret some of the red flags I saw and ending up leaving a year in after being mobbed. It's not just about having a job when you're dealing with workplace abuse.

When you hear nothing back from them for 20 days, and suddenly they’re interested again. You’re not their first choice. I just turned down an offer from a huge corporation with a lot of money for that reason. I don’t want to be last resort. Best choice ever after seeing recent headlines.

I quit a job over the first one, I had started a job and they were already talking so negatively (and CONSTANTLY) about the previous person that I just got annoyed and quit after a week

What about when they are late for the interview? How long should one wait before walking out when the one hiring is late? What’s a good waiting time?

Damn, I had an interview today where the position is open because “the last guy never worked and was lazy and was just collecting a paycheck.” Thank you so much for this video

Yep. The hiring manager shouted at 2 people on the call in the middle of the interview. Knew I was in for a rough experience at that moment but I needed the job so I took it. I kept applying for roles and ended up leaving 3 months later😭

Yo. I am in a process where I kid you not, every stage of the interview loop (including the RECRUITER SCREEN FFS) has been rescheduled for an emerged conflict. I'm like... what is going on here?

Good tips- what about third party recruiters they use? I’m a VP and I went on an interview and didn’t hear anything for two weeks and I assumed they passed only to get an email from the headhunters admin asking for my next availability for an interview. I was so confused

Why do they get you to prep show up for an interview, provide a timeline for hiring and then ghost you when you ask for an update? Very unprofessional
