she's such wasted potential tho, she's based on rusalkas, a slavic myth, a rusalka is a fresh water being that ISN'T a mermaid, so it's like they just saw on the internet some bs like "oh a rusalka is a Slavic mermaid!" and just made a mermaid character without looking further into it, as a Slavic person this really annoys me, she had potential to represent our culture but it was completely ruined

I love her mermaid theming, i’m just a little sad they didn’t lean more into the rusalka imagery given rusalka are typically freshwater spirits, and most of her imagery derives from saltwater biomes. I still absolutely adore her design and I think it’s one of the strongest in the game and for a mermaid themed character she’s perfect! Just not quite a rusalka. That’s just my take as someone whose special interest has been water spirits in folklore, so i’m probably a bit more picky than normal lol. I love her sm im saving for her :D
