Chris Hansen doesn’t seem like a great guy. I get the feeling the movie portrays a bit of that. I wouldn’t want input from the subject in something like that.

If they got his involvement, he would ask for complete creative control and then he would shape the movie to make himself look like a hero. This is the issue with biopics, because the only way to get the person its about involved would be to make a movie that makes them look good. The Social Network is a great movie because Zuckerberg is presented as an asshole. If Mark Zuckerberg was involved, it would've made him look like an innovative genius.

I think this movie is also going to focus on Chris’ obsession and decreasing morality on making the show. In a way he was a predator catching prey and his goal was to make the catch as sellable as possible (cutting corners to play up the catch). I don’t think this is going to paint him in the best light. But I think it’s going to be a movie that exists in the morally grey altogether. Almost like nightcrawler.

It’s an advanced screening. Everyone in the audience has to sign an NDA that they won’t share details about the film. It’s standard and wasn’t specific to Chris.

It’s a standard NDA that everyone who has ever gotten an early access screening to a film has to sign. It had nothing to do with the film being about him that’s just what studios do so things don’t get leaked.

uhhh because Hansen and the program regularly would stop before they collected enough evidence to actually prosecute the pdfiles to the full extent of the law... it was literally all for the show, they didnt gaf about actually catching the preds.

It’s because Chris Hansen only wanted a movie that painted a positive picture of him and he was very not nice behind the scenes. It’s like Jerry Springer where you find out he did some not so great stuff.

Catching predators is a hero task. Nobody’s arguing that. Chris Hansen making it profitable is what makes it iffy. Their whole stick is to catch all the predators and stop CSA right? But if they actually did that, he’d be out of a job. So in a fucked up way, Chris and every other man out there trying to make a LIVING out of this basically are telling you they don’t want this to end. They don’t want justice or rehabilitation. ………. They want views & money! At the expense of children. I hate that. They can expose these men without making it an entire production, where they RELY on men preying on young kids.

It's crazy to me that we live in a world where you can make a movie about someone's life, lie all you want about it to make it dramatic and make a butt ton of money and the person never has a say or sees a penny. Something reallllyy wrong there.

I would be willing to bet money it was a standard NDA and Hansen "walked away" for the show of it and to get his new round of interviews. Watch the Predators doc, he's hungry for attention, and the movie will show that too.
