@hosannacostilla: Continue Bible Study 📖 ⬇️ Psalm 70 is a short, urgent cry for God to hurry and help in a time of trouble. Bible Study: Psalm 70:1-5 1 Make haste, O God, to deliver me! Make haste to help me, O Lord! 2 Let them be ashamed and confounded who seek my life; Let them be turned back and brought to confusion who wish me evil. 3 Let them be turned back because of their shame, Who say, "Aha, aha!" 4 Let and rejoice in You; And let those who love Your salvation say continually, "Let God be magnified!"5 But I am poor and needy; admit me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay. Context and Background: David wrote this psalm during a time of intense personal danger and distress from his enemies. Note: This psalm is almost identical to the final verses of Psalm 40, but it stands alone here as an urgent prayer for immediate rescue. Key Themes and Breakdown 1. The Cry for Speed (Verse 1) "Make haste": David does not ask God to move slowly. He asks Him to hurry. Application: It is okay to be honest with God about your urgency. When you hurt or face danger, you can ask Him to act quickly. 2. Dealing with Enemies (Verses 2-3)"Aha, aha!": This is a taunt. David's enemies mock him and gloat over his troubles. Justice: David asks God to confuse and turn back those who want to destroy him. Application: Leave revenge and justice in God's hands. Ask God to stop the plans of those who wish you harm. 3. Joy for the Righteous (Verse 4)"Let God be magnified": While enemies mock, God's people praise. They focus on God's greatness, not their problems. Application: True joy comes from seeking God. Shifting your focus from your pain to God’s greatness changes your heart. 4. Total Dependence (Verse 5)"Poor and needy": David admits he has no power to save himself."Do not delay": He ends the same way he started—asking God to show up right now.Application: Humility is admitting you need God. He is your only true helper and deliverer. Closing Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,I come to You because You are my help and my deliverer. Sometimes life moves fast, and the pressure feels too heavy. Lord, when I am weak and needy, do not delay. Deliver me from the troubles I face and quiet the voices of those who wish me harm. Help me to stop looking at my fears and start looking at Your greatness. Fill my heart with joy, and let my life point others to You. I magnify Your name today. In Jesus' name, Amen. #fyp #creatorsearchinsights #biblestudy #psalms70 #Bible
