@shabsd8: Our household is blessed to have different generations- original, Say Walahi, Hooyo Matalo, and Say Huh! Speaking your language is important and sometimes hard for some of our kids- don’t shame them. Have fun with them and encourage them to learn their language. As someone who was born and grew up outside of Somalia, I understand the struggles with our language. I speak it now but it took my parents love, patience and laughter for me to feel comfortable speaking it outside of home.
