@bakerbettie: Here is how to use a digital scale to measure things for baking. Turn your scale on and then choose your unit of measurement. Most baking recipes are going to be listed in grams then you can put your measuring bowl on the scale and press the button that either says tare or zero to bring your scale back to zero so it is not measuring the bowl then you can proceed with putting the ingredient you are measuring into the bowl. Do you prefer to measure by weight or by volume?
