@deardomidomi: For the longest time, I never felt like I belonged anywhere. I had one friend in elementary school I leaned on for everything, but even then, I watched friend groups form all around me, and somehow, I was never part of one. Middle school came, and we didn’t even share a lunch period anymore, so I sat alone every single day. I spent most of my childhood at home, alone, never really understanding why I wasn’t liked or what I was doing wrong. High school felt like it was finally turning around, but somehow, the invites still never came. I quit college not long after, and for about four or five months, things actually got harder before they got better. But somewhere in that stretch, I stopped trying to force connection and just followed what I actually loved: games, learning new languages, the random things that made me feel like myself. And that’s where I found my people. Online, of all places, I finally wasn’t the one left out. Years later, we still make it a point to meet up. And for the first time in my life, I actually feel like I belong somewhere. 🤍 #storytellingcontentchallenge
