@healthandwellbeing55: Waking up with painful leg cramps? Nighttime leg cramps can have several possible causes — including muscle fatigue, dehydration, prolonged sitting, certain medications, and in some cases electrolyte or mineral imbalances. Sometimes, however, there’s no clear underlying cause. This clip from Dr. Berg discusses his perspective on what may contribute to nighttime leg cramps and the role of nerves and minerals such as magnesium and calcium. Stretching the affected muscle may help during a cramp, and regular calf stretching may help reduce how often cramps occur. Educational content only not medical advice. Frequent, severe or persistent cramps, or cramps accompanied by swelling, numbness or weakness, should be discussed with a healthcare professional. #LegCramps #healthtips #healthylifestyle #SleepHealth #MuscleHealth

I contracted herpes after being intimate with my new boyfriend for the first time. Before we had sex, he never mentioned that he was living with the virus, so I had no idea I was at risk. A few days later, I became extremely sick and experienced painful symptoms that lasted for about two weeks. It was one of the most difficult experiences I’ve ever gone through. After I confronted him, he admitted that he had known about his herpes diagnosis for years but chose not to tell me beforehand. I felt completely betrayed because I believe I deserved the opportunity to make an informed decision about my own health. If he had been honest with me from the beginning, I could have asked questions, taken precautions, or decided whether I was comfortable with the risk. Instead, that choice was taken away from me. I decided to end the relationship because trust is very important to me. However, he keeps telling me that I’m overreacting and that herpes is common, so it shouldn’t be a big deal. I understand that many people live normal lives with herpes, but I still feel that honesty and informed consent are essential in any relationship. Am I wrong for feeling this way, or was I justified in expecting him to be truthful before we became intimate? Am cured now by @Natural Remedies
