Ahh this is the classic "missing 1,000" riddle 😄
Let's track it properly:
1. *You borrowed*: 50,000 + 50,000 = *100,000*
2. *You spent*: 97,000 on the bicycle
3. *You had left*: 100,000 - 97,000 = *3,000*
4. *You paid back*: 1,000 to mom + 1,000 to dad = *2,000*
5. *You’re holding*: *1,000*
Now check the debt:
- You owe mom 49,000
- You owe dad 49,000
- *Total debt = 98,000*
*The trick*: You don’t add the 1,000 you’re holding TO the debt.
You _subtract_ it.
*Debt 98,000 - Cash 1,000 = 97,000* ← that’s exactly what you spent on the bicycle.
The "missing 1,000" isn’t missing. It’s the 1,000 you’re still holding 👌
All the money checks out: 97,000 bike + 2,000 paid back + 1,000 in hand = 100,000
Make sense now?
