i don’t have to interact with frat guys everyday, i get to work often and im able to visit my friends at their schools on weekends, which made me realize how horrible dorm life actually is, i get to see my dog and family everyday, i strengthen my connections with the friends that did stay in town, and most importantly im not in debt!

i can relate to you! i went to community college, kind of felt like i was missing out, but it gave me time to actually study, find what i’m passionate about, and honestly, allowed me to grow into myself. It will get better sis! and i know there’s some clubs you could join if interested. make it your experience!!

i’m in community college and only made one friend while i see ppl having fun living their lives and going to parties but i wanna go to a dorm eventually but the expenses and fear is making me question it

am i the only one that sometimes feels this way then i remember how miserable i’d be if i was actually at a university😭im sorry but like sororities and frats are lame ash and you don’t get to bring your pets and you’re forced to live in a tiny dorm with someone who you might end up on bad terms with and you have to write an essay to get in, universities seem so much better when you transfer after community college in my opinion

i dont go to community college but i feel you, all my friends have big friend groups and i just sit in my dorm doing homework and sleeping lol

I feel this way but then I see how tiny dorms are and how lame sm of the culture is.. I also think about how I’m able to work enough to graduate and not be immediately in debt. It’s the smart choice. Join some clubs, find a cutesy job with ppl your age, go to a couple of events. You’ll find your people!!!

Girl I get it. All my friends are seniors in college and I took a gap year. I’ve lived at home the whole time and never got the “dorm” experience. But I have saved so much money and honestly it gives you more opportunities when you stay home to try different things and to save money while at school. I go and visit my friends all the time and it makes it worth the while seeing them!!! Don’t feel sad. You have so much life and time ahead of you. Just remember that sometimes people move at different paces and you could ways transfer if you wanna!

i felt like this all last year, BUT i visit my friends at uni every other weekend. their friends are my friends, i got to stay in their dorms with them, basically getting "the college experience" without drowning in debt forever. it's hard at first but i PROMISE making the most of it pays off. plus so many of my friends ended up transferring to my community college bc university life is not all it's made out to be.
