Red got the expert to agree that active psychosis can affect how someone processes information — and that can affect the accuracy of memory. Then he points to a specific example where Lindsay remembered doing something with the knife… but the objective evidence apparently didn’t match that memory. So now I have a HUGE question: What if some of the things Lindsay later “remembered” were not accurate memories at all? What if some of it was distortion? What if some of it was hallucination? What if her brain filled in pieces that didn’t actually happen the way she later believed they did? That does NOT automatically prove someone else committed the crime. But it absolutely raises a much bigger question: How much of this case is being built around memories from a woman who may have been actively psychotic?
