most "antioxidants" are actually signaling molecules. Astaxanthin is not a signaling molecule it's a powerful antioxidant which then takes over the job of those others so they can do their signaling job instead of having to be an antioxidant.

I love this product!! I have taken it for around 3 months now and my favorite thing is I no longer break out when I'm in the sun! I have lupus and always have been very sensitive to the sun. I would get a red rash on my neck and face. no longer do I have that issue!!
