In the 80s, I was in the Army, and they decided I needed a filling. Some young soldier in dental training shattered my tooth. The worst thing ever. Once the captain in charge saw what had happened, they capped it for the time being and invited me back via a new appointment the following week. I was like bitch please, you think I'm coming back. Paid over a 800 for a crown from a real dentist💯

I was going to get my fake tooth, all he had to do is take the thing off they put on there while my tooth was getting made. he ended up ripping my entire implant out of my jaw bone.

The stitches from them removing my wisdom teeth never dissolved or whatever they're supposed to do and it got so infected I started spitting blood and passed out during pt.

The only horror story I have is NEEDLES in your mouth hurt like hell Ma’am😂 one time I had one they had to go into the nerve, that shhh is HORRIBLE!!

My dad is a retired Chief and he came home one day with a big old gap in his mouth. Turns out they extracted the wrong tooth. Then they extracted the correct tooth.

I work at a dentist, a cosmetic dentist. 🦷 unfortunately I don’t have horror stories but I have tips. Bring headphones, good ones & a blanket, and something to fidget with I used to give out rubber ducks to nervous patients - it was the closest to a squishy I could find. Rotate Motrin and Tylenol for minor aches and immediately let them know of pain for minor adjustments. Uhhh… I had more. I’m sure I’ll think of them immediately after I post.
