There’s a typically a noticeable power dynamic between family members, like brother and brother, sister and sister, daughter and father, son and mother, and so on. When there’s a power dynamic like that, consent is compromised, because one holds more power over the other, but in standard lgbtq relationships, it’s between two strangers who overtime gained a fond liking to one another, which doesn’t have a power dynamic, hence making consent free flowing and unrestricted.
