The issue is more attorneys don’t want to take cases unless the adverse action is automatically termination. Even if you have other adverse actions documented.

No attorney will touch it if the eeoc hasn’t said they found cause of said discrimination. They all want to know if the eeoc found anything before they will entertain it. Even your office said they wouldn’t touch it. This is not to bash or anything. You guys do a great job at doing this. All I’m saying that it’s just hard to find an attorney that will help before the eeoc gives their final findings.

I second this. I got a lawyer first and it also allowed me to "skip" the line for the EEOC because she said having a lawyer makes it more credible to the EEOC about a case. (we settled in April.)

GIRLLLLLL I DID IT PRO SE in the state of Maryland I’m so proud of myself what a journey and I Have over a month left to spare lol I have my AO 239 (application to proceed in district court without prepaying fees or cost) and supporting documents writing exhibit IFP – 1, 2 etc in the right hand corner then my JS 44 my civil cover sheet and then my pro se 7 with the attached statement of claim / relief / charge of discrimination /EEOC right to sue letter - I’m filing tomorrow morning also I filed my wage claim pro se and one out of the four entities got served the Lawyer called me to settle I said no sir you’re gonna have to get familiar with the whole case if you want a global resolution 😂 I am so proud of my ADHD smart brain I have zero mannerisms thoooooo 😂

I have a lawyer for the EEoC so everything was done right. But that’s how far my lawyer goes. Now I need a lawyer for trial and can’t find anyone in Arkansas to represent me.

I am having a hard time trying to find a lawyer to even tell me if I have a case. I reached out to two different lawyers who have both just said “they can’t take the case”. Can you give me any suggestions. I’ve already went to the Texas bar Association and emailed another lawyer but they never responded. Does that mean I just don’t have a case?

I live in Oklahoma and that's exactly how they say you have to do it that you can't get a lawyer until you get your letter saying you have a right to sue 🤷 so you're saying that's completely backwards I am so not surprised 🤬🤬🤬🤬
