@becomingzalina: i’m 41, and i’m a bit embarrassed to admit that… 1. sometimes i feel left out because i don’t have kids. it wasn’t really a choice, life just never lined up that way. i’m happy with where i am now, but sometimes being the woman without kids still feels lonely. 2. i still get imposter syndrome as an entrepreneur. i’ve built my own business and work for myself, but sometimes it’s not as busy as i want it to be, and i know there’s more i could be doing. sometimes i look at other entrepreneurs and wonder if i’m doing enough. 3. i’m still learning to love myself. i’ve struggled with that most of my life. i’m getting better, but i’m definitely still a work in progress. 4. i’m heavier than i’m used to being, and that’s hard for me. i could blame being in my 40s, but honestly, stress, getting comfortable and not prioritizing fitness all played a part. i know i haven’t been taking care of myself the way i’m capable of. 5. i don’t have a big circle. the people i do have are solid, but sometimes i wish there were more of them. like…who am i supposed to call when i need to go see the Backstreet Boys? 😂 6. i wish i figured myself out sooner. sometimes i wonder how differently i would’ve lived my 30s if i knew then what i know now. 7. sometimes i want to burn it all down and start over 😂 not because my life is bad. i just have this feeling that there’s something more out there for me. 8. sometimes i wonder what the “marriage + kids” version of my life would’ve looked like. i can love my life and still feel a little sad about the one i never had. 9. i’m grateful for what i have AND i still want more. i’m finally realizing those two things can exist together. 10. i still don’t know exactly what i’m doing with my life. 😂 i thought i’d have everything figured out by 41. instead, i think i’m finally getting to know myself well enough to figure out what i actually want. and maybe that’s what this whole next chapter is about. if you’re in your 40s and still figuring your shit out too, follow along. 🤍 . . . . . #MidlifeReinvention #WomenOver40 #LifeAfter40 #StartingOver #PersonalGrowth

A coworker married at 43 and had her daughter at 45, everything is possible, but no matter what may happen in the future: always take care of your body, nourrish it with whole foods and go back to the gym, reach your full potential and everything else will fall into place, it's never too late, God bless you ✨

what can I say....I also see my friends with their kids and everybody got someone except for me.
There are moments when I ask, what if I married her or the one before, it crosses my mind but I always come back to, there's a reason for everything and there was a reason why it didnt happen but the least we have is tomorrow so go out there and get what you want, its not too late!!!

Been there done that as in marriage and trust me girl you ain’t missing out. Divorced for 10yrs now. Do I miss being married of cos I do but if you ask most married women it’s not all sunshine & rainbows and they’ve had to compromise a lot to keep their marriage going.

I'm turning 43 and can relate to a lot of what you said. There is nothing I want more than a partner and kids but I am learning to love myself and trust the journey 💗 The responses here are very positive. Thank you for decreasing my feelings of sadness and giving me hope. I allow life to surprise me and don't need to have everything planned.

39 two kids raising on my own, it's not fun when you watch them lack even the basics. A $3000 debt book, no circle, no stability just breathing and living in the moment. Tell you what, you're not left out and the grass is never greener on the other side. We just live on

I'm 33 and planning to start trying as from November this year but I am not ready, I am not even sure I want a kid, just that the biological clock is ticking and I feel like I need to have one kid but I know if I have a child, I will love him/her and try my best to give that kid a good life/upbringing but then I keep thinking about the years ahead without having the time to do something independently for me..
I think somewhere along the way, we all find something we deserve..
child or no child, Being happy in life is the most important thing..

I love the pure honesty of this. The best thing about our 40’s is we didn’t really make a plan for this decade. So I think you’re right this is when we figure out what we truly want. Have kids and the husband and it is hard some days, I wonder what life would be like had I focused on my career instead of taking a step back when I had kids. Enjoy every moment!
